We recommend reading the data protection notice before downloading the app.
III. Data collection when using our website for informational use
We take protecting your personal data seriously and want you to know how and why we use your data. We only use your data within the statutory scope and with your consent. Personal data is information on a person's private or material conditions, i.e. information and data that can be assigned to a person e.g. name, address, telephone number, email address, IP address, device identification.
Visiting our website is possible in all cases without the provision of personal data. However, for technical reasons, your IP address is automatically saved when you visit our website. The last 3 digits of your IP address are anonymized, in order to prevent traceability (IP masking).
We only save access data with no personal connection, such as: the name of your Internet service provider, date and time of the request, content of the request (specific site), access status/HTTP status code, the volume of data transmitted, website from which the request came, Browser, operating system and interface, language and version of the browser software (“log files”). This anonymous data is analysed purely so we are able to improve our products. It does not allow any trace to be made to your personal identification.
IV. Data collection when using our web shop and our contact form
If you wish to purchase a licence for our see4service software via our web shop, you will be prompted to set up a user account whilst ordering and to enter the data necessary to process your order (company, name, company address, email address, password). Email address and password serve as access data for your customer account.
When you click on the button “configure app” to set up a company profile, you will be prompted to enter the information that should be listed in the service recipient app “see4service”. (Please see the information related to this in our general terms and conditions of trade). These are company name, contact person, company address and telephone number. Furthermore, a short description of your company and the service provided can be entered and a photo/logo can be uploaded. In addition, you will be prompted to define the access data (email address and password) for access to the software purchased. We recommend defining different passwords for the web shop and the software. Our website works with password encryption so we have no access to customers’ passwords.
Your personal data (inventory data) entered in the scope of the purchase order and whilst creating your company profile, in addition to your usage data, i.e. information that arises from the interaction between yourself and our website (e.g. details about the beginning and end of the session on the website, details about licences purchased etc.) will solely be processed and used in accordance with the German data-protection regulations, in particular those set out in the German Federal Data Protection Act and the German Telemedia Act.
We will only collect and process your inventory data to the extent required for the conclusion, content and structure or modification of our agreement with you, or in so far as this is otherwise legally allowed or required.
We will only collect and use your inventory data as far as it is required in order to establish the contractual relation, arrange it in terms of content, or change it, or if otherwise legally allowed or required. We will only collect and use your user data as far as it is required to facilitate the use of our services or if otherwise legally allowed or required.
For the contractual relationship, it may be necessary to forward certain data to the payment provider of your choice (e.g. PayPal, credit card supplier) or other service provider we use to fulfil the contract. They will use your data solely for the purpose of the contract.
We use SSL encryption to make payment with credit card as secure as possible. The credit card information that you enter is transmitted to us encrypted: the card type (MasterCard or Visa), the card holder’s name, the card number, the three digit Card Security Code on the back of your card and the expiry date. Your credit card will be charged via a “skrill” payment form. Skrill fulfils the PCI security standard, enabling you to make secure online payments.
If you send us a message via the contact form on our website, we will save the details entered for the purpose of replying to your message.
Cookies are files that contain certain information (e.g. the time of your server request, the operating system used, the type of browser, the websites previously visited and the IP address) and are saved on the user’s computer when an Internet site is visited. These cookies, in particular, are intended to make our service safer, more effective and more user-friendly.
It is possible to set up your browser in such a manner that cookies are not stored on your computer; it is also possible to delete cookies previously saved. The help function in your browser’s menu bar explains how this can be done. If your browser does not accept cookies, it is quite possible that certain areas of our website cannot be used to their full extent.
